Dear Sir Or Madam
It is not everyday that you write to the Prime Minister, I therefore conducted a poll via various UK friends and international friends over the weekend with the result being 50/50. I decided to send both versions, whilst the 1st version is wordy and lengthy its passion and conviction cannot be denied. Another flamboyant writer had been Sir Walter Scott his similar passion, courage and conviction, was an inspiration to all. Who was also known for being open, honest, frank and transparent, this is in the same vain and intent.

Dear Prime Minister
It's quite appropriate that I write to you on 4th July 2011 Independence Day, not in the American context meaning or understanding but with the continuous debate going on in Scotland appertaining to its return and transfer of powers in governance. As it is a place that I hold dear to my heart and care deeply for, and passionately about. Even with the bittersweet experiences that I am about to outline and describe, I believe it offers a phenomenal and a huge potential to its inhabitants and visitors alike who may decide to migrate there based on the lifestyle, well-being and abundant ecology environment of its plentiful habitat. The rest of the United Kingdom should be proud of its abundant resources. However it has much yet untapped potential, or perhaps mislead even misguided opportunities, to become a leader exemplified as it's always been internationally renowned for, now diminishing as a follower.
The date also has further significance and meaning to me especially because it is the 1st anniversary of my formal discharge from bankruptcy whilst having to serve and suffer the pain of a three year term based on the old Scottish legislative laws of a three year term as opposed to the now amended one year’s term introduced on 1st April 2008. What was quite galling and devastating from that entire episode in my life is that I was liquidated through an enterprise that achieved more assets than liabilities, dumbfounding I know. Furthermore in something that I statistically proved correct via contractual obligations and reservations obtained from inbound migrant professional workers buying into my assumptions and business model of a concept, vision and dream in an area and location presumed to be impoverished, perhaps even deprived and most definitely depressed.
Whilst we can all cast aspersions of blame and fault on the public sector through inconsistencies via various planning processes of endless hurdles, plus pointless hoops, even barriers or perhaps blockades. Broken promises, the lack of stamina even conviction to see the restoration and rejuvenation processes through to their fruitful completion. The fuel for the fire might be fuelled by the fact that the historical gems or jewels that I endeavoured to resurrect to their former glory and stature still sit dormant, idle and dilapidated to this day. However the local authority and administrations condemnation can hugely be scrutinized by their pristine administrative offices in homage to various failings in their capacity even responsibility to fulfil the aspirations and desires of their indigenous constituents. Let alone various business activities or enterprises I have personally been involved in, quite ironic their endeavours suffered minimal delays or interference.
Furthermore the experience was invaluable in accessing plus evaluating the function and capacity of financial institutions best practice and a duty of care, both internal and external behaviour, and engagement could have been sticker between all parties, their capacity towards social, economic development on a small to medium scale was collectively very disappointing. My word is my bond and in whom we trust is a simple philosophy that all funders should endeavour to honour and adhere to, for it is the historical values and principle we all place in these financial institutions. For I obtained a formal credit approved offer via a financial institution that was eventually reneged on, perhaps a pattern and a precedent and a theme for what was about to occur via the Global Financial Meltdown. Both the public and private sector should have been proactive, even diligent and more speedy in quantum leaping various processes with a greater level of engagement and connectivity, plus social conscience.
The here and now is a direct result of our collective behaviour and combined responsibilities, as individuals and whether we are actively involved in either public or private sectors it matters not. Whilst many don't wish to talk about the past it cannot be ignored for it determines all our futures and I have no qualms or issues even regrets with facing the past for it has been invaluable in shaping and moulding me as an individual and enhancing plus improving my character. Perhaps richness in values and wealth in principles should be inspired even attained via other methods and means other than monetary, maybe that's a lesson for us all. As Albert Einstein said there is always a positive out of a negative and the experience I've obtained has been priceless, even invaluable in shaping my values and principles.
Present and the future via what has now become my life's work, passion, conviction and obsession The QU Consortium and The ARK Foundation quintessentially for you, quality for you via Architecture Responsibility and Kudos. Again another Albert Einstein quotation "Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand." However the combination of the two skills, creative and experience can be extremely dynamic but in my opinion the creative influences are more ingenious in potentially solving eco environmentally and sustainable issues facing humanity, as it would seem even with the knowledge, perhaps maybe even evidence as well, we still choose to ignore the facts. Whether you’re a cyclical or manmade believer of climate change?
I have assembled a very impressive and proven dynamic team, from all industries, sectors and walks of life. Also quite remarkable that international designers, inventors and scientists seem to come and approach me as though I was some sort of beacon or conduit of Eco Environmentally Sustainable values and principles. I certainly am a huge promoter and vigorous advocate of the alternatives with some quite refreshing perhaps even extraordinary methods and ways of thinking but then again wasn't his highness Princess Charles. If you were to ask me what the primary function and capacity of the business and venture is, I'd say quite simple we aim to be the first Allocentric Brand that only participates in Eco Environmentally Sustainable aims, objectives, goals 'Anything and Everything Green'. How do we hope to achieve this? Via private and public investment, I'm already amassing quite a fashionable following through a pledge raising process that puts the pledge holders interests and duty of care first and foremost via a managed risk process.
All channel have been exhausted in Scotland and there seems to be no political will what so ever and in actual fact wrote to the Prime Minister on Thursday 14th February 2008 and in my opinion his response was inadequate and a total disregard to what had been outlined, as it certainly sows the seed, will reap a harvest without destroying Scotland's habitat and without question will ring Scotland and Great Britain's till. Sustainable Hospitality and Well-Being, plus Lifestyle are the “Vision for the Scottish Tourism & its Future”.
Whilst I've remained extremely openly and flowing with my ideas, plus receptive to other angles and degrees, they have now been influenced by other ideas that have evolved, matured and enhanced its final execution, plus delivery. I hasten to add by other individuals and parties involvement and influences, plus helpful participation. They have been further exemplified via academics and historians appraisals and endorsements of both myself my concept, vision, dreams, desires and aspirations for Scotland and Great Britain . We intended to explore historical sites in all four corners of Scotland with a view of integrating the old with the new, newtech, cleantech and renewables. Ambitious I know aiming to achieve what Kings and Queens have tried and failed to do before us, unite the Clans via a mirrored Eco Green Vision, totally self sufficient and sustainable communities utilising components and apparatus the like of which have never been seen in the World before. Perhaps even paying homage to Professor James Blyth the Scottish Inventor of the first operational and functional wind turbine, by means of a sculptured moving piece of art that sets a precedent or them for the environment you are about to enter, picture the scene!!!
However it would seem we are more politically hell bend on importing a concept, vision and a dream born in St Andrews, Scotland exported throughout the World admired and held in high esteem for it's gentlemanly conduct and etiquette via a Burkellionaire who has provided anything but a sense of unity and national pride, plus dignity and heaven knows Scotland as most places needs to sparkle, shine and glimmer again. Somebody once said business is simple, it's just that some people over complicate it.
Merge these two business models http://www.britishland.com/ and http://www.khoslaventures.com/khosla/cleantech.html under the umbrella of an ethical funding entity and you have what I would call a sustainable and lasting concept, vision and dream that is both clean, plus pure in lasting legacy terms. Sadly it would seem that other individuals, entities and countries are more open, honest, frank and transparent to these forward thinking, leading edge ideas. However again I hasten to add those countries that have perhaps experienced the voracious consequences on Mother Nature and Natural Disasters.
Some people say they don't get it, or do they choose to ignore it? I am optimistic that you comprehend its core ethical values and principles, for how can we keep devouring and consuming what we have evidently failed to efficiently and effectively manage in the last decade. I owe a huge debt to my family and friends who have emotionally and financially supported me through this entire process, which is insignificant to the debt I owe people in Scotland and Great Britain, subsequently why I've written this letter and it maybe time for me to consider other paths on this journey, where the message is better understood, however I know where this destination should lead to and how welcome it's arrival would be.
